Transition Year

Students undertaking the Transition Year Programme will untertake an intensive curriculum over the course of the academic year. This will include a 'hands on' approach in many areas. It is a vibrant and creative programme offering our students an opportunity to grow, develop and mature and prepares them to be 'future-ready'. The creative and physical aspects of the programme give students the chance to explore and develop skills outside the academic, whilst our SPHE/RE, extra curricular and social placement activities also let students engage with social issues, both local and global. Some example of the activities and subjects that may be carried out are as follows:
